Born from a love of the Sahyadri and a passion for sharing it with the world.
PMG Camping was born on a rainy August weekend in 2021, when three friends camped illegally on the banks of Thokarwadi lake and watched a thousand fireflies light up the forest. They looked at each other and said: "Everyone needs to see this."
What started as a weekend passion project — borrowing tents, cooking rice on a single burner and guiding friends through jungle trails — grew organically into PMG Camping: Maharashtra's most loved lakeside adventure brand.
Today we host hundreds of guests each season, run structured trek programmes through the Sahyadri, lead overland expeditions into remote forest zones and protect the very ecosystems we explore.
Every decision we make prioritises protecting the environment we love.
We hire locally, source food locally and give back to Thokarwadi village.
No adventure is worth risking a life. We plan every detail around safety.
We curate real, unscripted moments — not tourist packages.
In a world of screens and schedules, PMG exists to remind people that the most powerful experiences happen offline — around a campfire, on a misty trail, watching the stars emerge or witnessing fireflies light up the dark.
We believe that meaningful time in nature makes people kinder, calmer and more connected — to each other, and to the world they live in.
We envision a Maharashtra where the forests, rivers and wildlife of the Sahyadri are celebrated, protected and accessible to all — not just the privileged few who know where to look.
Our long-term goal is to expand our conservation programmes, support local tribal communities and build the finest responsible adventure tourism brand in Western India.
